Hello everyone. I wish I could make it to Vegas to see you all again. The reunion was great. July 9  my wife and I leave on our motorcycle trip around the US. Following the great lakes then down the  east coast to Tennessee. Making a loop toward St Louis, Branson, MO, bak to Tenn. Down to Orlando Fl, Miami for a cruise, travel to New Orleans for a week with friends, through Texas, Colorado and home to Idaho.  Expect to arrive home around Oct 20th.  If you will be home Aug, Sept, Oct email us and we would attempt to visit. Cell 707-330-3605
While we are traveling we will surely be thinking about our troops fighting overseas just as our parents did many years ago. Go Vanden!

This message goes out to the Class of 76. My name is Tom Nidzyn and I am from Long Island, New York. I was a classmate in 1973 of one your Missing 76ers, Bernita Seay. She was a classmate of mine at Westhampton Beach High School in Long Island, New York. She was a very special person to me, but never had the opportunity to tell her as suddenly she was longer attending my school, as was normal for children of military parents then. I regretted never telling her how special she was and some thirty years later was wondering how I could find her. I came across your web site while doing a search of her name on Google. I then recalled she had a brother named Greg who has many newspaper articles to his credit with the Hartford Courant, but was not sure if I had the right Greg Seay. After many e-mails and some investigative phone calls, I was able to track Greg down and verify that I had indeed found the right person. It deeply saddened me to find out that Bernita or Bree as Greg referred to her had passed away in January 2002 in her home town of Richmond Va., succumbing to a lifelong heart condition. She is survived by a son Giorgio who is now sixteen years old. I regret not having the nerve to tell her how I felt about her, though the fact that she had to relocate would not have changed, but perhaps we could have kept in touch. I remember her as a person with a smile that lit up the room and a laugh that was difficult to forget. She was indeed a beautiful person. "Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love Truly, Laugh uncontrollably, And never regret anything that made you Smile." These are not my words and the author is unknown to me, but it kind of sums up how I feel. I thought you might want to know this and move her from the missing to her proper place which is the In Memory section. Thank you for your time. Regards, Tom Nidzyn

I came across this sight while I was surfing the net and thinking about the good days in California. The days at Golden West and Vanden were great, even though I was only at Vanden for my freshman year. I have been in contact with Randy Stansell, tried to get in touch with Melvin and Joe Campisi. It was really interesting to see the graduation pictures of people I went to school with 35 years ago. My father was transferred to McChord AFB in Washington after my frosh year. He retired after sophomore year to Missippi, then on to Indian after my junior year. So I did the 4 high school thing also. Anyway good to see everyone's pictures. Drop me a line if you can. This is my work e-mail. Tom

Nancy Anderson Stuart and I arrived to the game late and had to sit at the top of the bleachers. This turned out to be the best seat in the house for me. From my vantage point I got to watch the expressions on the faces of our classmates as they would recognize an old friend or a familiar face from days gone by. These moments alone were worth every Saturday morning meeting in planning the reunion.

If the reunion is as much fun as the planning has been to this point, it will be an event to remember. There will be many memories to recount, and even more old friends to become reacquainted with. Don't be saying woulda, coulda, shoulda after the reunion has come and gone.
